Tao Te Ching - a commentary. Given at Berkeley City College during Summer Session 2011 on July 7th.

What needs to be done? There’s nothing to do. It’s all done. Move about as you do. No need to add your concernit does not help at all.

Now, how shall we act? Action without attachment to results is best. You know the outcomes, and perform the tasks without grasping. Tasks will happen more precisely, more actions, with more joy, and fulfillment. You are living your life now – rather than in the future.

WHAT IS ENLIGHTENMENT? Meditation talk (with questions & answers) at Berkeley City College, July 14, 2011.

Thinking

Thinking does not solve most problems. Feeling is more comprehensive than thought. The best of all worlds integrates thought and feeling - this leads to awakened intuition.

Begin Here

Beginnings are sweet. We call it “beginners mind”. Later, the sweetness goes away. We take “it” for granted. This is why we need meditation.

Life is short. It can be lived right here-and-now; thus, lived more intensely with fuller sense of presence. I believe, that’s part of what Jesus meant when he spoke of “life more abundant”.
